Concrete poetry allows poems to be seen in their simplest forms. In his poem, “The Road Not Taken” Robert Frost explores the idea of breaking the cycle of societal norms as the speaker of the poem comes upon two roads, one of which appears more worn than the other. The speaker must choose one all while facing anxieties after making a choice. In response to this poem, I created a board game to reflect the overwhelming anxieties of either staying in line and following the same road as others or taking a different one and facing the chaos that could occur. The player soon begins to realize that there is no actual way to win the game.
